BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Freshman goalkeeper Dante Orellana was named the NEC Rookie of the Week in the conference's weekly award release. Krystian Nitek and Ryan Calheira were also named Prime Performers in the release. 

Orellana in his first collegiate start in net for FDU when the Knights took to the road to take on UMass. Orellana was able to hold down the back line for the Knights, making a save and getting his first collegiate win when the Knights took down the Minutemen. 

In that same match, the two FDU goal scorers received Prime Performer honors, as Ryan Calheira scored his second goal of the season in the match, and Krystian Nitek scored the first goal of his collegiate career in the 87th minute of the match to give FDU the lead. 

This is the first NEC weekly award for Orellana, and the first time Nitek has appeared in the weekly awards as well. These Knights will be back in action this weekend, as FDU will travel to Chicago State to take on the Cougars in their NEC opener.
