BRIDGEWATER, N.J.- Mila Samardzija has taken home her second consecutive NEC/Molten Rookie of the Week Award. Samardzija picks up where she left off after earning both Player and Rookie of the Week last week. Her latest award comes after a 23 kill weekend with the Knights. FDU played in three games, including two at the East Coast Challenge hosted by UConn. 

Samardzija boasted a .236 hitting percentage over the weekend, where she posted 23 kills and 25 digs. Versus New Hampshire on Sep. 11, the outside hitter posted her third double-double which featured 10 digs and 11 kills. In the contest she also dealt a pair of service aces and two total blocks. 

The Knights continue their season at Sacred Heart tonight at 7 p.m. before playing in the Syracuse Invitational on Sep.18 and 19.
