Box Score TYSONS, V.a. - FDU Baseball lost the second game of the three game set with the Georgetown Hoyas, as the Knights fell by a final count of 7-2. The Knights were led by
Jeremy Delamota, who drove in both FDU runs in the contest.
FDU and Georgetown exchanged scoreless first and second innings, and then the Hoyas were the first team to the scoreboard in the bottom of the third, as the Hoyas jumped out to a 1-0 lead by way of a solo home run against FDU starter
Jeremy Cheeseman.Â
The Knights evened the contest in the fourth inning, as Delamota drove in one of his two runs of the afternoon to knot the game at one. The Hoyas were able to create some seperation from a two run single that made the game 3-1 Georgetown. FDU was able to draw closer in the sixth inning with a Delamota double that scored
Garryn Plummer, which made the score 3-2 Georgetown.
Following a sacrifice fly in the seventh to push the lead back to two runs, the Hoyas provided the decisive blow in the eighth inning with a three run home run, to take a 7-2 lead into the ninth inning, where the Hoyas were able to shut the door on a Knights comeback.

FDU and Georgetown will square off one more time on Sunday afternoon at Capital One Park, with first pitch being set for 1 p.m.Â
