DEPTFORD, N.J. – The FDU Knights women's bowling team resumed their season this weekend at the GriffIn Baker Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill. The Knights earned five victories in the baker total pinfall format across the two-day event.
While day one of competition started with a loss to Delaware State, the Knights finished the day by winning four-straight matches. This was a highlighted by a victory over Kutztown in which the Knights knocked down 1087 pins.
Day two began with a resounding win over former conference foe Merrimack. However, FDU's winning streak was extinguished with two consecutive losses at the hands of Monmouth and Dominican. Both of these were best-of-seven matches.
The Knights finished with a 5-3 record, which was good enough to earn them fourth place at the event.
