BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - FDU midfielder / forward
Joshua Bartels was named the NEC's Player of the Week in the conference's release this afternoon.

In the Knights most recent match at New Haven, FDU was looking for a goal in a match where they needed to garner three points to move up to second place in the NEC table. Bartels stepped up in a big way, finding the back of the net, giving the Knights the 1-0 lead that they would hold onto for the rest of the match, to top New Haven on the road. That win for FDU marked the only time in New Haven's Division I competition era where they lost a game at Kathy Zolad Stadium.Â
In the week of play where the Knights played two matches, FDU won both games, and Bartels had a goal, a game winning goal, an assist, as well as six shots, which lead the team in the week of play.Â
Bartels and FDU will head into the final week of the regular season, as the Knights take on Howard on senior day in the final game of the regular season at Macron Stadium. Kick off is set for 12 p.m. and the game will be streamed on NEC Front Row.Â
