HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball (12-4, 3-0) looks to continue their hot stretch of NEC play as they host New Haven (4-10, 2-1) on Saturday afternoon. The game will be the first-ever meeting between FDU and New Haven, and the conference home opener for FDU.
- FDU is coming off of a 3-0 start to conference play, with each win coming on the road.
- The Knights defeated Chicago State in their last outing, winning by a score of 91-64 on Thursday, January 8.
- A 38-point third quarter propelled the Knights over the Cougars.
- Ava Renninger led the way with 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
- Six different Knights scored in double figures in the win.
- New Haven is the newest team to both the NEC and Division I. It will be the first ever meeting between the Knights and Chargers.
- The Chargers sit at 4-10 on the season, with a 2-1 record in conference play.
- New Haven is led by the upperclassman duo of Lindsay Hogan and Aniya McDonald-Perry.
- McDonald-Perry averages 11.5 PPG and 7.9 RPG for New Haven, and is the reigning NEC Player of the Week.
The conference schedule continues for FDU on Thursday, January 15. The Knights travel to face Wagner in Staten Island, N.Y. Tip-off comes at 7 p.m, with coverage on NEC Front Row.
