Knights Gear Up for Chicago State and New Haven

HACKENSACK, N.J. – After splitting the first two games of their NEC calendar, the FDU Knights are back in action this week for another pair of conference contests. The Knights will host Chicago State on Thursday before traveling to New Haven for a Saturday meeting.

LAST TIME OUT
  • FDU suffered an 85-82 loss at the buzzer against Saint Francis on Sunday evening in Loretto, Pa.
  • Joey Niesman led the Knights with a season-high 23 points, while also recording eight rebounds, five assists, and shooting 8-for-9 from the free throw line.
  • The first half was tightly contested, with FDU using a 10-0 run to take a 46-44 lead into halftime despite going just 3-for-15 from three-point range.
  • The second half featured seven lead changes and six ties, with neither team leading by more than four points.
  • After Cyril Martynov tied the game at the line in the final seconds, Saint Francis knocked down a game-winning three-pointer as time expired.
