STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Tata Coulibaly was a key contributor in another successful Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Atheltic Complex this afternoon in Staten Island. 

Coulibaly set a new personal best distance in the Women's Weight Throw event, where she broke the 17 meter threshold, breaking a new record personally, and putting herself atop the NEC leaderboard for the event category. Teammate Laila Davis also recorded a top five finish in the event, as the pair sit at one and two in the Weight Throw Performance List in the NEC this indoor season. 

Coulibaly also places second in the Women's 60 meter hurdles event, where she ran a time of 8.85 seconds in the finals section of the race. Sophomore Nya Blades finished in third in the event, and Saniyah Miles also recorded a top five finish by running a time of 8.90 seconds. 

The Knights also received first place finishes from Chase Lopez, who has continued to dominate the 800 meter run event all indoor season. Lopez clocked a time of 1:53.38, finishing the run just .12 seconds away from his personal record. Lopez won the 800 meter run event on Saturday and currently has the second best time in the NEC this season. 

Jade Cruz was another Knight that took home a first place finish on Saturday, as she won the Women's Triple Jump event by jumping a distance of 11.36 meters to win the event. With this win at the Wagner College Invite, Cruz still stands as the second best triple jumper in the NEC this indoor season.

The Knights will take to the track next on Friday January 23rd, as FDU will participate in the Dr. Sander Scorcher in New York, N.Y. Action is set to start at 9 a.m.
