HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU men's basketball (5-12, 2-2) is set to host a pair of home games in the coming days. The Knights will welcome LIU (10-7, 4-0) on Saturday, before a meeting with Wagner (6-9, 1-3) for an 'MLK Day' matinee.
- FDU fell 65-55 at New Haven on Saturday afternoon after a slow offensive start.
- The Knights managed just four field goals in the opening period and trailed 27-14 at halftime.
- David Jevtic led FDU with 13 points, hitting three three-pointers to match a season high and recording his fourth double-figure scoring game.
- New Haven pushed the lead to 20 before FDU responded with a 13-2 run to pull within single digits midway through the second half.
- FDU closed within six points with three minutes remaining, but the Chargers' free-throw shooting down the stretch secured the win.
- Taeshaud Jackson posted seven points and 11 rebounds, Joey Niesman added 12 points, and the Knights went 13-of-18 from the line with just nine turnovers.
