LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The FDU Knights faced the Siena Saints in their final midweek matchup of the 2025 season which resulted in a 14-6 loss for FDU.
The Knights fell behind early with a Siena homerun in the first inning and an RBI double in the third to put them ahead 2-0.
Anthony Sarro recorded his first collegiate homerun in the right time to tie the game 2-2 in the fifth with a two-run homer over the right field fence.
FDU pulled ahead in the sixth inning with three runs resulting off a two-run single off the bat of
Diego Urreta.
Johnathan Gomez came around to score on the play off a throwing error by Siena to lift the Knights to a 5-2 lead. However, the Saints tacked on three runs in the bottom half of the inning to knot the game up again at 5-5.
Siena scored five more runs in the seventh inning off four singles to reclaim their lead with a 10-5 score.
Jeremy Cheeseman drove in the final run of the day for FDU with an RBI single to plate Urreta.
The Saints tacked on four more runs in the eighth to solidify their victory over the Knights by a score of 14-6.

The Knights will look to bounce back on Thursday, May 16 as they open their final conference series at Coppin State.
