FDU's Matus Kudlac is the NEC Golfer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – For the first time in his career, Matus Kudlac has been named the NEC Golfer of the Week. It is the second time in as many weeks that the Golfer of the Week has been an FDU Knight.

Kudlac put together the best weekend he has ever had as a Knight at the Testudo Cup. The sophomore fired rounds of 70, 74, 69 and finished -3. This placed him in tie for third on the leaderboard when all was said and done. Kudlac's performance elevated the Knights to a tied for fourth team finish.

Kudlac was the best player in the field on par 3s. He averaged under par on those holes. The Slovakian converted 12 birdies, which was tied for fifth most in the field. It was three days of clean golf for Kudlac who made just eight bogeys in the 54-hole tournament.

Kudlac and the Knights are hoping their momentum carries through to the NEC Championship which begins on April 25 at Kingsmill Resort Plantation Course in Williamsburg, Va.
