TEANECK, N.J. – The FDU Knights (2-13, 2-1 NEC) wrapped up their three-game series against the Le Moyne Dolphins (1-12, 1-2 NEC) with a 13-2 loss on Sunday.
Le Moyne's offense came alive, led by left fielder Tyler Campbell, who went 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs. Campbell put the Dolphins on the board first with a solo home run, setting the tone for the game.
For FDU,
Jimmy Mantuano continued his strong weekend, blasting his second home run of the series to score the Knights' first run. Later,
Diego Urreta drove in
Felix Gonzalez with a double down the left-field line for FDU's second and final run of the afternoon.
Freshman
Hunter Ray recorded his first multi-hit game of the 2025 season, collecting a single to right field and a double down the right-field line.
Despite those efforts, the Knights struggled to contain Le Moyne's offense, which powered its way to a 13-2 victory.
On the mound, Le Moyne's sophomore right-hander AJ Petraitis dominated, tossing a complete-game seven-inning effort. He threw 92 pitches, allowing just five hits and one walk while striking out five to secure the win for the Dolphins.
