FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Women's tennis extended their winning streak to four with a 4-2 victory over Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon. The Knights are now 6-6 on the year.
Namie Isago and
Yelena Kim took a 6-3 victory at #1 doubles. Katsiaryna Kostina and
Valentina Silva then clinched the point at #3 with a 6-2 victory.
Isago dropped a tight match at #1 singles, but she was picked up by her teammate
Anastasia Lim at #2. Lim won 6-3, 6-4 and is now 6-6 in dual matches this year.
Alena Kubanova dominated at #3. She cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Kubanova is 7-5 in the spring season.
Valentina Silva dropped her match at #4 but Kostsina clinched the victory for the Knights at #5. She won 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4.
