TEANECK, N.J. - FDU women's tennis won their fifth-straight match on Friday with a 4-2 victory over Wagner. The Knights are now 7-6 and 4-0 in conference play.
FDU swiftly won the doubles point.
Namie Isago and
Yelena Kim pulled out a 6-3 victory at #1 doubles. The duo of
Valentina Silva and
Katsiaryna Kostsina claimed a 6-4 victory in the #3 spot.
Namie Isago won 7-6, 5-3 at the top of the lineup card. Isago has win four of her last five singles matches.
Anastasia Lim defaulted at #2.
Yelena Kim was outlasted 6-4, 5-7, 5-7 by her opponent at #3 singles.
Valentina Silva cruised in the fourth flight, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. That notches Silva's seventh singles win of the spring, and she has also won her last four doubles matches. Â
Katsiaryna Kostsina quickly wrapped up a 6-2, 6-2 win at #5 singles. Kostina has won six singles matches in a row.
Ann Kato's #6 singles match went unfinished. She was leading 6-0, 4-5.
