Another Trophy! Women's Bowling Wins Home Event

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The FDU Knights played host to the NJ Open this weekend at Bowler City in Hackensack. The Burgundy and Blue captured the championship with a 4-1 victory over Monmouth on Sunday afternoon.

The Knights' success on Sundays carried over to their home event. This marks the fifth trophy they have won this season, including the NEC regular season championship.

FDU went 4-0 on Saturday and 2-1 on Sunday for a final record on 6-1. They bounced back from a loss against Malloy and bowled a 1055 in their bye round heading into the championship match. In the championship, FDU won the first three games of the Baker Match and closed it out in the fifth game against Monmouth.

On Friday, the bowlers competed in a singles event. Four FDU bowlers finished in the top ten, including Allysha Howard who finished in first place.
