BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - FDU Sophomore
Ethan Ruffin won the first NEC Men's Field Athlete of the Week of the 2025 indoor season, as the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. Ruffin in his first appearance of the indoor season jumped a height of 2.10 meters to win the Men's High Jump Event at the Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, where he was named the Meet's Field Events MVP
Ruffin won both the indoor and outdoor Men's High Jump in the 2024-25 season, and is starting his title defense campaign on the right foot in this year's season. Ruffin tied a personal record of 2.10 meters, which he set two times over prior to last Saturday, as he hit that mark at the Penn Relays and the Towson Senior Twilight Open in the outdoor slate last season.
Ruffin's mark is the best in the NEC this season, and tied for 11th in all the country so far this indoor season. Ruffin and the Knights will next compete at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday, December 12th.
