STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - FDU Track and Field competed in their first road event of the indoor season this Saturday, as a group of Knights took on the Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
Sophomore
Ethan Ruffin led the way for FDU, tieing his personal record in the Men's High Jump of 2.10 meters. Ruffin won the Men's High Jump event, and was named meet MVP at the conclusion of competition. Ruffin's mark of 2.10 meters is the best height of any high jumper in the NEC so far this indoor season.

Tata Coulibaly who finished fourth in the event, throwing a distance of 15.95 meters. Sophomore
Camille Ellis took eighth in the same event, but threw a new personal best distance of 13.45 meters.
The Knights sprinters also made a big impact on the meet, as junior
Xavier Hayletts clocked a time of 6.89 to take fourth place in the Men's 60 yard dash. Sophomore
Joshua Gresham logged a new personal best time of 35.03 seconds in the Men's 300 meter dash, good for 12th place in the event.
The Women's 60 meter hurdles also saw three Knights inside the top 11 as
Nya Blades took sixth place, running a personal best 8.93 seconds. Once again, two Knights finished right behind each other, as Coulibaly finished in seventh with a time of 8.94 seconds.
Emmanuella Koroma finished in 11th place, with a time of 9.27 seconds.
