CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The FDU Knights (3-9) fell by a score of 72-61 in a physical battle at Boston College (6-6) on Monday night. The Burgundy and Blue knocked down ten triples.

A clean and sharp-shooting FDU offense helped the Knights out of the gate on Conte Forum. They grabbed a 5-0 lead after a three made by
Eric Parnell to put Boston College on their heels early.
When the Eagles knotted up the score at 11-11 with 12:23 remaining in the half, the Knights kicked their perimeter scoring into high gear. FDU converted six threes over the next five minutes and engineered an 18-5 run.
Boston College was able to cut into the lead, but four points in the final two minutes from
Taeshaud Jackson gave FDU a 33-25 heading into halftime.
Both offenses benefitted from the halftime break as the teams combined for 22 points in the first five minutes of the second stanza. Parnell and Jackson combined for nine points to spark the Knights and extend the lead to nine. However, Boston College responded with a 12-2 spurt that gave them their first lead (44-43) since the early stages of the game.
FDU continued to battle as the teams traded buckets for the next several possessions. The Knights swatted four Boston College leads away as they either tied or took the lead on an ensuing possession. Jackson slammed down a dunk to tie the game at 50-50 before Niesman knotted it again at 52-52 with 7:55 remaining.
Boston College forced a lead change for the final time after the under-eight media timeout. They made four threes in the final eight minutes to stave off the Knights.
