BRONX, N.Y. - The FDU Knights (2-8) fell by a score of 75-54 at Fordham (7-4) on Wednesday night.
- Arthur Cox tallied 13 points in the loss
- It marks his fifth double-digit scoring output of the season
- Cox went 5-12 from the field
- The graduate student filled out his stat line with five rebounds and four assists
Taeshaud Jackson opened the scoring with a triple on the first possession. This set the table for FDU stops on Fordham's first four possessions. When the Rams finally broke the ice, they scored six unanswered to take a 6-3 lead. The Knights responded with a 7-2 run highlighted by an
Eric Parnell three. This put FDU ahead 10-8 with 12:51 remaining in the first half.
From the 10:25-6:30 mark, Fordham mustered a 12-0 run for their first double-digit advantage of the night (23-12). FDU would cut the deficit to seven moments later with a
Joey Niesman three but could not cut into the lead any further in the first half.
The Rams converted 50% of their attempts and were a +12 over FDU from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes. They led 37-22 heading into halftime.
Fordham scored the first four points of the second half to extend their lead to 19 and made it a 21-point advantage coming out of the U16 media timeout. Three Knights came together for a 7-0 run late in the half to trim their deficit to 14, but Fordham quickly extinguished that momentum and held FDU at arm's length for the remainder of the contest.
FDU did increase their offensive output in the second half, scoring ten more points than they did in the opening stanza.

- Eric Parnell (11 pts) knocked down three triples
- It's Parnell's fifth game with three or more made three-pointers
- The Knights hit five threes in the second half for a total of eight
- FDU recorded 15 assists on 20 made field goals
