HACKENSACK, N.J. — FDU women's volleyball team (17-11, 11-4) defended their home court against CCSU (9-18, 8-7) on Friday night, winning the match (25-23, 25-23, 25-26).
The Blue Devils kept it close in the first two sets, but the Knights were dominant in the third set. Offensively, the Knights hit .315 as a team with Kylie Nott recording 10 kills. Defensively, FDU was a wall, tallying 8 total blocks.
Set 1:
The Knights struggled early with their passing. They eventually settled into their offensive rhythm with all players having 2 and 3 kills a piece. Taking the lead late, FDU closed out the set 25-23.
Set 2:
Trading points for a majority of the set, the Knights opened a slight lead halfway through. The Blue Devils rallied late to close within one, but FDU held their lead and took the set 25-23.
Set 3:
It was all Burgundy and Blue in the third set. The Knights dominated offensively, hitting .375 as a team. A service run by Vittoria Bertoli gave the Knights match point. FDU came out on top 25-16.

The Knights play their final match of the regular season tomorrow November 15 at 1 p.m. against CCSU.
