BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Week one of the college basketball season is in the books and FDU men's basketball has their first conference award. Following back-to-back 14-point performances,
David Jevtic was named the NEC Rookie of the Week.
Jevtic, a freshman who joined the Knights from Serbia this summer, made his collegiate debut at no. 16 Iowa State last Monday. The wing poured in 14 points on just seven shots and grabbed six boards in Ames against the Cyclones. He also added two steals and two assists.
Jevtic did his scoring against Saint Peter's in a different way this past Saturday. He knocked down three triples en route to another 14-point outing.
Through two games this season, Jevtic is fourth on the team in minutes and is first in total points.
The Knights are back in action this Wednesday, November 12, at Texas. The game is scheduled to tipoff at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
