Rising Above, Women's Volleyball Rides a Wave Momentum with Third Consecutive Win

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Back at home in the Bogo, the Knights women's volleyball (10-8, 3-1) swept Le Moyne (1-14, 0-3) in straight sets Wednesday night (25-15, 25-18, 25-14).

Graduate Assistants Emma Walker and Eleanora Tosi led the Knights from the sideline in tonight's match. An all out team effort, this marked the third straight conference win for FDU. 

Set 1:

Alessia Zampieri got the Knights fired up with back to back kills, 13-10. Le Moyne had no response for the Knights who were electric and took the set 25-15. 

Set 2:

​​​​​​​MacKenzy Ruggiero became a force of nature, ramping up with three consecutive kills, 12-6. ​​​​​​​Riding a wave of momentum, the Knights kept rolling, closing out the set 25-18. 

Set 3:

Like a rising tide, Avery Bain surged as the hot hand, leading the Knights with 6 kills in the set. FDU never looked back, finishing the set 25-14 and match 3-0.

​​​​​​​The Knights return to the Bogota Savings Bank Center this weekend to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks Friday October 10 at 6 p.m. and Saturday October 11 at 1 p.m.
