HACKENSACK, N.J. — FDU women's volleyball (11-8, 4-1) soared over Stonehill (2-18, 1-5) Friday night, sweeping the Skyhawks (25-20, 25-13, 25-17).
The Knights controlled the match from start to finish, holding the Skyhawks to .069 hitting efficiency. FDU was led by Junior Avery Bain who had 7 kills and Senior Kylie Nott who had 5 kills and hit .833.
Set 1:
The Skyhawks kept up with the Knights for a majority of the set, but back to back kills by Avery Bain opened a lead for FDU, 21-19. The Knights held the momentum, closing out the set 25-20.
Set 2:
FDU took flight behind the service line. Stonehill had no response and errors proved to be costly. The Knights took the set 25-13.
Set 3:
Attack errors became a problem for the Skyhawks again, allowing the Knights to jump out to an early lead. FDU maintained control of the set, finishing the match 25-17.

The Knights are back in the Bogota Savings Bank Center tomorrow Saturday October 11 at 1 p.m. to take on Stonehill for round two.
