BETHLEHEM, PENN. - Both FDU Men's and Women's Cross Country participated in the Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
The men's team kicked off the racing for FDU, and several Knights achieved their personal best, most notably sophomore
Chase Lopez. In the Men's 8k race, Lopez clocked a new personal best time by over two minutes, running a time of 25:46.6 to lead the Knights. Lopez's time was good for 76th place in the event for FDU. Senior
Luis Abreu was the first Knight behind Lopez, as Abreu ran a time of 26:24.8 to be the second Knight to cross the finish line.
Sophomore
Kidus Zeleke, junior
Trevor Ehrlicher, and freshman
Dylan Manning all ran times of under 28 minutes for FDU, as the Knights finished the race in 33rd in their heat, and 108th overall at the Paul Short Run.

The women's team was the next to race at Goodman Cross Country Course, with all of the Knights clocking new personal best times in their first 6,000 meter race. Temi Adebayo led the way for the Knights by running a time of 24:46.3. Two other freshmen were in the front for the Knights, with
Mary Daclan and Mackenna Calvin behind Adebayo to round out the top three finishers for FDU.
I'm proud of the women's effort in their first 6,000m race of the year. The freshman trio of Adebayo, Daclan and Calvin paced us throughout the race. Looking forward to getting back in action on Wednesday against Saint Peter's." Stephens said.
The Knights will be back in action next Wednesday as the women's cross country team will head to Jersey City to race against Saint Peter's in a dual race.
