THE BRONX, N.Y. - Both FDU Cross Country teams took on the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx on Friday morning.
The women's race opened the action on Friday, and the Knights posted their new fastest time as a group by over 20 seconds. FDU was led by freshman Temi Adebayo who ran a time of 25:28.7 in the Women's 6k event. Sophomore
Isabel Michel was the second Knight to cross the finish line, running right behind Adebayo with a time of 26:32.8. Freshman Mackenna Calvin finished the race just three places behind Michel to be the third Knight across the finish line in 26:59.1.
Sophomores
Gabriela Cardona and
Kayla Smith rounded out the top five for FDU, with Courtney Adams and
Aisha Williams finishing behind them in the Knights starting lineup. FDU finished the race in 24th place out of the 25 teams that took to the line Friday morning.
The men's race quickly followed, and FDU had two runners clock new personal best times Friday morning. Freshman
Jalen Goode and sophomore
Sam Szczepanski both ran personal best times as the Knights took 20th place, out of 22 teams on the line. Goode and Szczepanski rounded out the top five for FDU, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. Sophomore
Chase Lopez led the way for FDU finishing in 116th place overall, running a time of 26:21.1 in the Men's 8k event. Behind Lopez was senior
Luis Abreu who ran a time of 26:26.8.

FDU will next run at the NEC Championships on Nov. 1 in Loretto, Penn. Action from B and D Acres Farm will begin at 10 a.m.
