NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – FDU could not hold onto a 1-0 lead in Thursday night's matchup with Central Connecticut, ultimately falling to the Blue Devils 2-1. This drops the Knights' record to 2-4-5, 2-1 on the year.
The first half saw these two NEC favorites play a fairly even 45 minutes. The teams both produces six shots, but neither side could find the back of the net.

Marina Burzaco took a pass from Katia Cárdaba and slotted it past the Blue Devil goalkeeper for the match's first goal. This was Burzaco's third goal of the season and her second in as many games.
This lead proved to be short-lived. Central Connecticut capitalized on a shaky FDU clearance in the 71' and were able to tie the match.
The Blue Devils went on to score the winner in the 87'.
"We fought to get the lead and gave it right back to them," said head coach
Eric Teepe. "The first goal we allowed was completely unnecessary and we have to learn from that.
At the end of 90 minutes, Central Connecticut outshot FDU 15-13.
