TEANECK, N.J. – The FDU Knights (3-2-3, 0-0) took on the Drexel Dragons (4-3, 0-0) resulting in a 2-0 loss for the Burgundy and Blue.
The Knights and Dragons closed the first 45' scoreless after battling on both ends of the field.
In the 61st minute, Drexel's Dominick Bachstein capitzalized on a FDU turnover deep in the attacking third and took a 1-0 lead.
Within eight minutes, Bachstein scored his second goal of the night to put the Dragons up 2-0.
"Tonight was a very even game between two good teams," said head coach
Jaymee Highcock. "As we approach conference play, games become tighter and chances become more limited. I thought we played well in moment but lacked cutting edge and quality in the final 1/3. Defensively, we were solid but some individual mistakes have cost in some key moments. We will re-group, train hard and be ready for Saturday nights game."
