Box Score LORETTO, Pa. - #4 FDU saw their season come to an end at the hands of #2 Daemen in the NEC Championship semifinal on Thursday. The Wildcats were able to sweep the Knights and advance to Saturday's final. FDU finishes year three of their program with a record of 12-15.
Six FDU service errors put the Knights behind the eight ball in set number one. Despite these challenges, FDU was able to grab a 17-15 lead in the middle stages of the frame. The Wildcats responded with a 5-1 run that helped them win the first set, 25-23. After the opening game, FDU was hitting .273 and Daemen was hitting .286.
Set two proved to be tight. After 30 points, the teams were tied at 15-15. Daemen would go on to win the next two points and take control of the frame. The Wildcats hit .292 in a set they won by a score of 25-21. The Burgundy and Blue were limited to 12 kills on a .214 hitting percentage.
The Wildcats rode this momentum and completed the sweep with a 25-13 win in the third.

Jamal Ellis Carballo led the FDU offense with ten kills apiece.
Damen will take on the winner of #6 Sacred Heart and #1 Saint Francis U on Saturday in the NEC Championship at 4 p.m. inside DelGol Arena. The game will air live from Loretto on NEC Front Row and ESPN+.
