LORETTO, PA.- FDU men's volleyball traveled to Saint Francis for their first of two matches against the Red Flash this weekend. The Knights struggled against the undefeated regular season champions, dropping the match in straight sets.
The story was all Saint Francis as the Red Flash hit an impressive .468 on the night, tallying 27 kills on only eight errors. The Burgundy and Blue struggled offensively, putting up the same number of attacks as SFU, however only totaling 25 kills and racking up 15 errors. Despite a promising run at the end of the third set, the Knights could not stop the hot hitting Red Flash and dropped the match for their sixth conference loss.
Jamal Ellis Carballo paced the Knights with 13 kills.
Dylan McFadden made a nice contribution of seven kills on 15 attacks and added two digs for FDU.
Rayjan Suarez Palacios stepped in nicely in the second and third sets, with two aces and one block.
