The #5 Knights begin their postseason quest tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. ET at #4 Le Moyne in the quarterfinal of the 2024 Northeast Conference Championship live on NEC Front Row and the NEC on the Run app.

After earning Third Team All-NEC honors as a sophomore and now rising to the First Team, Almonor, last season's NEC Most Improved Player, has become a force from three-point land. In 31 appearances and 30 starts, Almonor shot at a 43.75 percent clip from the field (175-400), including a nearly 40 percent mark from distance (92-233). Averaging more than 16 points a night, Almonor nabbed 160 rebounds, dished 52 assists and made a defensive presence with 21 blocks and 15 steals in his third season at FDU.

Almonor's 30 points at Le Moyne on Feb. 24 set a new career-high and his 11 made buckets against Jacksonville in the Urban-Bennett Memorial Classic on Nov. 25 also set a new career best.

Almonor was a two-time NEC Player of the Week this season.

Garnering his first NEC postseason recognition is Sean "Fuzz" Moore, a transfer from St. Thomas Aquinas in his second season at FDU. Moore, tabbed to the Third Team All-NEC, was among the NEC's leading rebounders this season, averaging 8.0 boards a conference game, 7.6 overall. With 366 points as a senior, Moore, from Columbus, Ohio, shot almost 40 percent from the field (133-333) and tickled the twine on 71 three-pointers. Getting the job done on the defensive end, Moore recorded 29 steals with 17 blocked shots, the 11th most in the NEC.

Working his way into the starting lineup as a freshman, Minneapolis, Minn. native Terrence Brown joins current Knights Joe Munden Jr. and Sébastien Lamaute as FDU honorees on the NEC All-Rookie Team.
