TEANECK, N.J. – The Knights (4-12, 2-2) returned home to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks (4-6, 0-1) for a weekend conference matchup that resulted in a 7-3 victory for the Knights.
1
st Inning:
- The Skyhawks were able to get on the board first with a leadoff double from Connor Kiely who was moved to third base with a sacrifice bunt. Stonehill was able to plate one with a single to third base.
Stonehill up 1-0.
- Joan Sosa started it off for the Knights with a leadoff single to the shortstop. Sosa was able to move around the bases stealing second and third. Hunter D'Amato was able to drive in the run with a ball hit to the shortstop drawing the throw to first.
Knights knotted at 1-1.

th Inning:
- Brelon Harden was able to secure a spot on base with a ball that tipped off the shortstop's mitt rolling into centerfield. With a single by Nick Quagliato, Harden advanced to second. Runners advanced by a sacrifice bunt from TJ Werner. Knights plated Harden by contact from Sosa.
- With a single to right field by Justin Sierra, FDU was able to bring in Quagliato.
- Sierra stole second moving himself into scoring position with D'Amato coming up to the plate. D'Amato doubled to left center clearing the bases.
- Joey DiMotta doubled and was brought in by a Brian Sanders single to left field.
- Jeremy Cheeseman picked up a double of his own before the inning could end scoring DiMotta.

th Inning:
- Skyhawks were able to gain two hits and a walk to load the bases. With another walk dealt, Stonehill found their second run of the day.
- Immediately following, Jack Marshall singled to bring in the Skyhawks final run of the day.
- Stonehill still trailing 7-3.
Starting on the mound for FDU was
Patrick Gardner who pitched six innings striking out six. We saw
Vladimir Ceverino come into the game in relief for a total of three innings and deal six of his own strikeouts.
The Knights totaled 13 hits on the day. Sosa, D'Amato, DiMotta, Cheeseman, and Quagliato recorded two hits a piece with Sierra, Sanders, and Werner tacking on hits of their own in today's 7-3 victory over Stonehill.
The Knights will continue their three-game series against Stonehill Saturday, March 16 at Naimoli Family Baseball Complex. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
