WEST POINT, N.Y. – An early scoring drought was enough to sink FDU (2-4, 0-0) on Wednesday night in an 84-70 loss at Army (3-2, 0-0).
Terrence Brown was again FDU's leading scorer with 26.

Both teams were knocking down shots in the game's opening two minutes. The Knights started 3-5 and knotted the game at 7-7 at the 17:50 mark in the first half. However, they'd spend the next 5:04 scoreless. In those five-plus minutes, Army had built a 12-point lead at 19-7.

In the first half FDU shot just 12-31 and their opponents were able to knock down six threes. This helped Army to a 41-31 halftime lead.

The lead grew to as many as 18 in the second half as FDU could not find a rhythm offensively.

There was a spurt of late life for the Knights as they utilized a 19-7 run to get within six with three minutes to go. Army would then settle back in and close the game on a 8-0 run to win it 84-70.

FDU finished the game shooting 38.8% from the field.
