BETHLEHEM, PA. – FDU Cross Country ran in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh Unviersity Saturday.
The Knights men saw several career days. FDU was led by junior
Luis Abreu, who posted a personal best with a time of 26:40 in the 8k, good for 129th in the field. Abreu continued what has been a stellar season as a veteran presence for the Knights. Abreu was joined by underclassmen
Kidus Zeleke and
Brandon Barreto, who also recorded personal best times. Zeleke, a freshman, placed 178th, recording a time of 27:19. Barreto placed 222nd, with a personal best time of 27:58. The Knights also got a strong showing out of
Trevor Ehrlicher, who posted his best time of the season to date, finishing in 192nd, with a time of 27:32.
On the women's side, the Knights were again led by freshman
Isabel Michel, who is continuing a dominant freshman campaign at FDU. Michel finished in 243rd, with a time of 25:13 in the 6k. Michel was joined in the field by fellow freshmen
Briana Reyes, and
Amiaya Richardson. Reyes placed 285th with a time of 30:52, followed by Richardson in 286th, with a time of 32:19.
The Knights will be back in action on October 18, when they run in the IC4A Cross Country Championships in the Bronx.
