BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Fresh off their second championship of the young 2024-25 season, women's bowling picked up two NEC weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon. For the second straight week,
Allysha Howard was named NEC Bowler of the Week. Her teammate, freshman
Jadeyn Mabry, earned the NEC Rookie of the Week crown.
The senior Howard has out together an impressive start to her last campaign on the Hackensack. Last week she earned MVP honors at the Bud Whitman Memorial. This week she helped her team capture a championship at the Ebonite Hawks Soar Higher Open. The California product landed on the all-tournament team as she finished second in singles 195.60 pins knocked down per game. In the Baker format, she converted on the opportunity to double 55% of the time and averaged just over 19 pins per frame.
Mabry was called upon as a starter for the first time this past weekend in New Hampshire. The freshman from Arizona delivered a strong performance, particularly shining on day two of the event. Mabry filled 83.3% of frames and averaged 19 pins per frame in the Baker format. She finished ninth in singles on the first day with 171.60 pins knocked down per game.
In addition to these two awards, sophomore
Amy Chrzanowski was named a prime performer. She also earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
The Knights are back in action on November 15 at NEC #1. The event will take place over three days in Binghamton, N.Y.
