Men's Soccer Drops to Skyhawks

TEANECK, N.J. - The FDU Knights (5-4-4, 1-2-1) took on the Stonehill Skyhawks (4-7-2, 1-2-1) resulting in a 3-1 loss.

The Stonehill Skyhawks took an early lead in the 29th minute with a penalty kick goal. Within the final ten minutes of the first half, the Skyhawks netted two more goals to take a 3-0 lead going into the half.

The Knights held Stonehill to zero goals in the second half. With a foul in the box drawn by Jack Bejarano, the Knights scored a goal off a penalty kick taken by Kevin Leonhard.

"Tonight was a learning experience for our program," said head coach Jaymee Highcock. "The first half we lacked the fundamentals of what was required to win any soccer game. The second half was a much more positive performance and we can grow from tonight's experience."

WHAT'S NEXT

The Knights will return to the pitch on Thursday, October 24 when they face Chicago State on the road. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. and you can stream all the action on NEC Front Row.
