TEANECK, N.J. - The FDU Knights (5-4-4, 1-2-1) took on the Stonehill Skyhawks (4-7-2, 1-2-1) resulting in a 3-1 loss.
The Stonehill Skyhawks took an early lead in the 29th minute with a penalty kick goal. Within the final ten minutes of the first half, the Skyhawks netted two more goals to take a 3-0 lead going into the half.
The Knights held Stonehill to zero goals in the second half. With a foul in the box drawn by
Jack Bejarano, the Knights scored a goal off a penalty kick taken by
Kevin Leonhard.
"Tonight was a learning experience for our program," said head coach
Jaymee Highcock. "The first half we lacked the fundamentals of what was required to win any soccer game. The second half was a much more positive performance and we can grow from tonight's experience."
