Staten Island, N.Y.- Today April 1st, the FDU women's lacrosse team (1-7)(1-2 NEC) faced off against Wagner (5-6)(4-0 NEC). Wagner jumped out to an early lead from which the Knights could not fight back.
1st
- Wagner started the game off hot and scored the first six goals of the game
- With 1:53 left in the quarter Brielle McInaw scored her team-leading 20th goal of the season
2nd
- The Seahawks scored the next five goals to extend their lead to 10
- Alyssa Perez cut the lead to nine with her 12th goal of the season
3rd
- Riley Eaton scored the first goal of the period for the Knights, receiving a perfect pass from Lindsey Felician who was credited with the assist
- Saige-Lyn Gidzinski also contributed to the Knights' score with her goal, assisted by Perez
- Wagner answered with three more goals, solidifying their 10-goal lead
4th
- Gidzinski scored her second goal of the game with a free position shot early in the 4th quarter
- Karina Velez-Corretjer was able to score the final two goals for the Knights, bringing the final score to 15-7 in favor of Wagner
The Knights have a full week to prepare and recover before their next game against Central Connecticut, scheduled for April 8th at 1 PM in University Stadium for NEC lacrosse. The game can be seen live or streamed on NEC Front Row.
