Lindenwood and FDU Play Action-Packed Lacrosse Match

Hackensack N.J.- The Knights women's lacrosse team (0-4) faced Lindenwood (3-4) today (2/26), at University Stadium in their second-ever home game.  

 
How it Happened

1st Quarter
  • Saige-Lyn Gidzinski opened the scoring for FDU with the first goal of the match. Brielle McInaw assisted Gidzinski's goal, making it her third of the season 

  • Isabella Rulapaugh quickly responded with a goal for Lindenwood, leveling the score 

  • FDU's Velez-Corretjer scored to give FDU a 2-1 lead 

  • Lindenwood then scored six unanswered goals to end the first period with a 7-2 lead 

2nd Quarter

  • Lindenwood scored the only two goals of the second period 

3rd Quarter

  • Brielle McInaw managed to score her seventh goal of the season, making the score 9-3 

  • Lindenwood quickly responded with two more goals to make the score 11-3 

4th Quarter

  • Sara Grieco scored the opening goal of the fourth period for Lindenwood 

  • Riley Eaton cut into the lead with her second goal of the season to make the score 12-4 

  • Aleksa Allen scored to extend Lindenwood's lead to 13-4 

  • Natalie York scored a free position goal for FDU to make the score 13-5 

  • Ashley Brown scored her first collegiate goal assisted by Eaton, making it 13-6 

  • Breylin Bright scored for Lindenwood to make it 14-6 

  • Lindsey Felician scored FDU's final goal of the game with an assist from Gidzinski 

  • Lindenwood scored the final goal of the match which made the final score 15-7 

  • Skylar Goodman recorded 11 saves and a .550 save percentage over two periods for FDU 

  • Jewel Horsmon recorded 8 saves and a .571 save percentage over two periods for FDU

    Up Next
The Knights will head back to University Stadium for their next match on March 11th, at 11:30 AM to face Hartford. The team will continue to improve and take positives from each match as they continue to look for success.
