Teaneck, N.J.- The FDU women's lacrosse team (0-5) played today, March 11th against Hartford (3-0). The Knights fought back from a six-goal deficit to take the lead but could not hold on for the win down the stretch.

1st QuarterÂ
- Hartford started strong and scored the first two goals of the game.
- The Knights fought back with goals from Brielle McInaw and Saige-Lyn Gidzinski to tie the game at 2-2.
- Hartford regained the lead with a goal from Lily Baker with 15 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
- Hartford opened the second quarter strongly, scoring two goals to extend the lead to 5-2.
- Lindsey Felician scored her third goal of the season which was assisted by Saige-Lyn to cut the deficit to two goals.
- Hartford went on to score four unanswered goals to give them a six-goal cushion.
- With 27 seconds left in the Quarter Brielle scored her 9th goal of the season to make the score 9-4 heading into halftime.
3rd Quarter
- FDU started the 3rd quarter on fire and within 45 seconds Riley Eaton scored for the Knights.
- McInaw scored her third goal of the game and made FDU history by recording the first-ever hat-trick which cut the lead to three.
- McInaw continued her dominant play with another goal, her fourth of the game, cutting the lead to 9-7.
- The Knights continued their great 3rd quarter with a Saige-Lyn goal.
- Gidzinski scored another goal for a hattrick which leveled the game a 9-9.
4th QuarterÂ
- Eaton completed the comeback and propelled the Knights into the lead with her second goal of the game to make the score.
- 10-9 Hartford had an answer of their own and scored three unanswered goals to give them a 12-10 lead.
- McInaw continued to impress and scored her fifth goal of the game to bring FDU within one.
- Hartford scored their 13th goal through Megan Smith.
- Felician scored with 4:04 remaining the give the Knights life.
- FDU continued to push for a game-tying goal, but their efforts fell short as they could not secure a goal in the final minutes.
The Knights will have a full week to rest and recover before they start Conference play against Stonehill on May 18th. The game will be played at University Stadium and broadcast on NEC Front Row where you can watch the game live.Â
