FAIRFAX, V.A.- FDU dropped their fifth consecutive match on Friday night as they fell to George Mason in four sets.
Jamal Ellis Carballo had his second-straight 21 kill performance in the loss. He was extremely efficient against the Patriots hitting at a stellar .341 clip. The freshman has now eclipsed the 100-kill mark on the season.
Ethan Young was able to produce a season high in kills, as well. He had 14 and a .333 hitting percentage.
Panagiotis Kourmouzos anchored the Knights' defense with six blocks.
George Mason took the first set 25-19 and the second 28-26. FDU was able to keep the match alive with a 25-23 victory in the third, before George Mason put the match away with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set.
As a team, FDU hit at a .280 clip. George Mason outdid them in that department possessing a .298 hitting percentage. George Mason's biggest edge was their serving ability. The Patriots had eight aces. FDU had just two.
