FDU Welcomes Wagner to Jersey, Celebrate Alumni Day and Hall of Fame Weekend

HACKENSACK, N.J. - Picking up their fourth road win of Northeast Conference play this season, the FDU men's basketball team (14-10, 7-2 NEC) sits alone in first place by one game as the Burgundy and Blue head down the back stretch of the regular season with seven games to go. The Knights, coming off a seven-point win at Merrimack last week, welcome-in Wagner (11-9, 4-5 NEC) Saturday at 1 p.m. as FDU celebrates Hall of Fame Weekend and men's basketball Alumni Day at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center.

Fans can tune-in to Saturday's bout against the Seahawks live on NEC Front Row and the NEC On the Run app.

Wagner comes in to Stratis Arena having lost of their last two by the exact same score: 65-56. Junior guard DeLonnie Hunt leads the Seahawks in scoring, averaging 11.6 points a night in NEC play this season. Saturday's game between FDU and Wagner opens the season series with the sides set to battle again on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. on Staten Island.

The Knights are back to form after coming back to win two-straight after falling to Stonehill to split the season series and to Sacred Heart last month. Picking up their first-ever win at Merrimack on Saturday, Jan. 28, FDU moved to 4-0 in road contests in league play this season which also represented the first series sweep of the campaign for Tobin Anderson and the Knights.

Junior guard Joe Munden Jr. has heated up having scored in double-digits in each of his last five games played. He posted his first double-double of the season with a career-high 21 points and season-high 10 rebounds as the Knights edged SFU, 87-82, on Thursday. He now averages 10.7 p.p.g and 4.9 r.p.g this season.

Hitting the road next week, FDU visits LIU on Thursday, Jan. 9 for a 7 p.m. tilt with the Sharks in Brooklyn on NEC Front Row.
