Burlington, Vt.- Today (2/26), the Knights women's lacrosse team (0-3) faced Vermont (1-3) in their home opener while also battling the freezing elements.
- Vermont opened the game with the first 11 goals.
- Karina Velez-Corretjer scored her first career collegiate goal in the second quarter, assisted by Brielle McInaw, who recorded her second assist of the season.
- McInaw scored the Knights' second goal of the game, her fifth of the season, from a free-position shot.
- Vermont scored three unanswered goals in the quarter.
- Brielle added to the FDU tally with her second goal of the game from a free-position shot, bringing her total to a team-leading six goals on the season.
- The game ended in a 21-3 defeat.
The Burgundy and Blue have nine days to rest and recover before their next match, which will take place at University Stadium on Tuesday, March 7th.
