Knights Drop Tough Battle vs. Sacred Heart; 70-67

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The FDU Knights (18-6, 10-2) dropped a tough battle against the Sacred Heart Pioneers (13-11, 10-2); 70-67.

How it happened

The Knights played a solid three quarters before struggling in the fourth quarter of play. In the first 30 minutes, FDU did not shoot worse than 50% in a quarter and held on to a 61-54 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play. The dominating 30 minutes of play held up due to terrific shooting from the field and from behind the arc. The Knights could not miss early in the game.

The fourth quarter was a different story for the Knights who shot only 1-for-10 in the quarter and were held to just six points. The Pioneers outscored the Knights 16-6 on their way to the number one seed in the conference.

FDU was led by Chloe Wilson who had a big game posting her fifth double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson's dominating performance comes one game after she dropped a career-high 32 at CCSU on Saturday. The Knights got solid secondary scoring out of Sierra DeAngelo and Celia Carbonell who scored 20 points combined.
