Slow Start Dooms Knights at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, TENN. – The FDU Knights took on the Vanderbilt Commodores in a Friday night battle that resulted in a Commodores victory of 73-41. The Knights finished their non-conference schedule with a 2-11 record.
 
NOTABLE NAMES   
QUARTER 1
  • Teneisia Brown, Parke, and Conklin all collected three points for the Knights as they totaled all nine of the points for FDU in the first quarter.
  • Conklin knocked down her 30th triple of the season, a career-high. 
  • Vanderbilt led 23-9 after one.
 
QUARTER 2
  • FDU's five scorers tallied 11 points in the frame. 
  • Babore came away with three rebounds off the glass.
  • The Commodores led going into the half 51-20.
 
QUARTER 3
  • Williams logged five points in the quarter.
  • Vanderbilt extended their lead 63-28 at the end of the third.
 
QUARTER 4
  • Williams and Conklin led the charge in the final quarter scoring five points each.
  • Rebecca Osei-Owusu snagged three boards.
  • The Knights outscored the Commodores 14-10 in the final period.
  • Ultimately, Vanderbilt came away victorious with a score of 73-41

The Knights will be on the road next on January 6th as they travel to Syracuse, N.Y. to face Le Moyne in the first game of conference play. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
