NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J.- No. 15 FDU competed in the first NEC meet of the year at Bowlero Carolier Lanes this weekend. After going 2-1 on day one, the Knights went winless on day two, which resulted in a final record of 2-5 for the weekend.

DAY ONE

FDU 903 LIU 780
The Knights set a good tone for the weekend with a commanding win over LIU.
Allysha Howard continued her strong campaign as she paced the Knights with 201 pins.
Emily Fogarty was right behind her with a total of 196 pins. All five Knights hit the 150-mark in the win.

FDU 853 Wagner 798
Hannah Dalton shined in the second match of the day as she showed a 36-pin improvement from the first match. Dalton's 193 pins led the team in their win over Wagner. Juliana Spina continued to be steady knocking down 174 pins for an average of 171.5 over their first two matches.

FDU 931 Saint Francis (PA) 953
The Knights suffered their first setback of the weekend by a slim margin against the Red Flash. Despite knocking down the most pins that they had all day as a team, they could not make up the 22-pin deficit. However, Spina did drastically improve her average as she totaled 205 pins to lead the Knights in the match. Howard came up just short of the 200-mark with 198. All five Knights totaled over 170 pins.

FDU 829, No. 11 Duquesne 991
FDU got off to a slow start on day number two. In their matchup against no. 11 Duquesne, the Knights put up their lowest pin total of the weekend with an 829.
Jennifer Oxman paced the Knights with 184 pins.

FDU 875, Niagara 934
The Knights fell by less than 100 pins in their second tilt of the day.
Shayna Jimenez had her highest output of the weekend with 199 pins to lead FDU in the loss.

FDU 879, No. 17 Sacred Heart 1017
After besting the Pioneers twice in their previous event, FDU was not able to defeat Sacred Heart on Sunday. Oxman was a bright spot in this match knocking down a stellar 234 pins. Freshman
Amy Chrzanowski also had a strong performance with a pin total of 186.
FDU 970, No. 24 Merrimack 996
The Knights closed out their weekend with their highest pin total on day two. Unfortunately, it was not enough to overtake Merrimack as they fell by 26 pins. Howard was explosive in their final match as she totaled 258 pins. Jiminez also hit the 200-mark as she knocked down 200 pins even.

FDU heads south to compete in the Hawk Classic next weekend. The action will take place at Bowl America in Woodbridge, VA.
