BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - FDU cross country traveled to New York to compete in the NEC Championships, their final races of the season.
The men were led by sophomore
Luis Abreu, who finished 37
th with a team-best time of 27:38.3 in the 8k event. Freshman
Ekuyami Conteh and
Dylan Hoernlein were close behind Abreu, finishing 28:59.7 and 29:27.6 respectively.
On the women's side, graduate student
Cassandra Meyer placed 69
th with a time of 23:13.0 in the 5k. Junior twins Jordana and Dominque Greaux-Gist finished 77
th and 78
th respectively, with times of 26:55.3 and 27:41.50.
"Great effort from both teams today. Didn't end the way we wanted but we learned valuable lessons as we prepare for indoor season." Said head coach

With the cross country season finishing, the Knights look ahead to indoor track season beginning December 2
nd at the Youree-Spence Garcia Invite.
