HACKENSACK, Nj- FDU women's volleyball (8-10, 2-0) took home their fourth-straight victory at Stratis Arena defeating Saint Peter's (0-16, 0-3) 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19.)
- Giorgia Vaschetti led the team in kills with 12 also posting nine digs.
- Kimber Lang started set two and three putting down five kills for the Knights.
- Megan Bushnell was strong at the service line with three aces.
- Sarah Watts was consistent in the libero jersey with 15 digs and passing 20 receptions passing 1.000.
Set 1
- FDU had a slow start on the night but after a service error from the Peacocks (13-15) FDU was able to go on a seven-point run with Schmidt at the line. Saint Peter's couldn't close that gap (25-19).
Set 2
- FDU went on an early five-point run and grew their needed lead (5-13). Two more three-point runs at 6-16, and 9-20 solidified the win for the Knights. (25-15)
- Vaschetti hit .444 with five kills for the Knights.
Set 3
- Bushnell started set three with an ace and a four-point run for the knights. The Peacocks couldn't close that initial gap and FDU took set three 25-19.
"Despite the scoreboard, we did not play good volleyball. We will work on cleaning up our game and play better this weekend." Coach David Nguyen said.
