NORTH ANDOVER. MA. -The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team (20-26, 12-9 NEC) was unable to break through against Merrimack (15-26-1, 10-11 NEC) on Sunday, falling 2-0 at Warrior Baseball Diamond in the last game of the weekend series.
How it happened
- Senior Joey Kosowsky (3-2) started for the Burgundy and Blue and kept the Warriors off the board in the first before running into trouble in the second inning.
- Merrimack hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second and scored a run on a wild pitch in the fifth.
- Sophomore pitcher Ethan Rembish came on in relief in the eighth inning.
- The Knights finished the game with five safe hits.
Inside the box
- Kosowsky took the loss, allowing two runs and striking out four in 7.2 innings of play.
- Joan Sosa went 2-4.
- Tom Ruscitti went 1-4 with a double.
