TEANECK, N.J. -Strong pitching was enough to hold the FDU (2-8, 0-0 NEC) bats down as Manhattan (2-7, 0-0 MAAC) came away with the win 5-2. 
How it happened 
	- Manhattan started the game with a run in the first inning. 
 
	- In the top of the eighth, the Jaspers hit a solo home run, followed by an RBI single to center field and a two-run homer to extend their lead, 5-0. 
 
	- In the bottom of the eighth, the Knights responded with an RBI ground out by sophomore Brelon Harden, allowing senior Tom Ruscitti to score, making it 5-1. 
 
	- FDU closed the gap with an RBI single to center field by Ruscitti pushing junior Justin Sierra across for the second run of the game, making it 5-2.  
 
Inside the box 
	- Senior Joey Kosowsky recorded a 3.68 ERA with four strikeouts in 7.1 innings pitched.
 
	- Freshman Christopher Mattioli struck out once in 1.2 innings pitched. 
 
	- Sierra went 2-4 with a double and two stolen bases. 
 
	- Ruscitti went 1-3 with an RBI, a walk, and a run. 
 
Next Up 
FDU and Manhattan will face off one more time for the series finale Sunday, March 5. The new starting time will be at 2:00 p.m.
