TEANECK, N.J. -In the final contest of the series, the Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team (8-15, 3-0 NEC) swept Mount St. Mary's (4-14, 0-3 NEC) with a 9-4 victory on Sunday afternoon.
How it happened
- The Mountaineers opened the scoring with a run on a sacrifice fly.
- Hunter D'Amato tied the game with a run on a single to right field by Justin Sierra in the bottom of the first.
- After a scoreless inning, Bre Harden hit FDU's first grand slam of the season, making the score 5-1.
- In the bottom of the fourth, TJ Werner and George Rosales scored on a single to center by D'Amato.
- MSM added a run in the top of the fifth.
- In the top the seventh, the mountaineers scored one more run on an error by the shortstop to make it 7-3.
- The Knights extended their lead with two runs in the bottom of the eighth. Rosales and Tom Ruscitti scored on a two-RBI single to the right side by D'Amato.
- MSM added a run in the top of the ninth to make it 9-4, but it was not enough to catch up to FDU.
Inside the box
- Joey Kosowsky picked up the win (3-1) by going six innings, striking out eight, and allowing just two runs.
- D'Amato went 4-for-5 with four RBIs, a double, and two runs.
- Harden went 2-for-4 with four RBIs
- Rosales went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Due to weather, the Burgundy and Blue are now scheduled to play Siena on Tuesday March 29 at 3 PM at the Central Park in Schenectady, N.Y.
