PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman Avery LaRusso represented the Fairleigh Dickinson women's fencing team at the 2022 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional at Princeton University on Saturday. LaRusso competed in sabre for the Knights, finishing tied for 34th in the region to conclude her freshman campaign.

A total of 36 fencers from around the region competed in sabre at this year's event. The first three rounds featured four pools of six in which the bottom six were eliminated. The final round included one pool of 12 fencers that determined the winner.

In the opening round of play, LaRusso logged a 0-5 record which concluded regional competition for the freshman.

Gabriel Watson, Shea Sanders, Gabriela Cruz, Dominique Greaux-Gist and Ayah Ibrahim served as reserves for this year's Mid-Atlantic/South Regional.
